About Dr. Kelly Wilson’s Journey to Dentistry

Dr. Kelly Wilson has deep roots in the community since she grew up in Charlotte. She attended the University of Georgia, where she earned her bachelor of Biology, graduating with honors. However, when it came time for dental school, she enthusiastically returned home to study at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. 

Dr. Kelly Wilson has a passion for general dentistry so that she could enjoy all aspects of dentistry. She is passionate about providing care to the entire family, including the littlest patients starting as young as one year old. 

Always committed to building her skills, Dr. Wilson is committed to continuing education. She participates in the prestigious Spear Education as part of a local Spear study club. She meets monthly with a group of general dentists and specialists from the Charlotte area. In addition, she studies at the Spear center in Arizona for hands-on training in many aspects of cosmetic dentistry. 

Dr. Kelly Wilson and her husband, Dr. Micheal Wilson, enjoy giving back to the community. They have worked with the Doves Nest, a women’s program of the Charlotte Rescue Mission, providing dental care so the patients can focus on their recovery. 

They are also passionate about helping children with congenital heart defects. Their youngest child was born with a heart defect that required surgery, and they continue to support the Congenital Heart Defect Foundation.  

Dr. Kelly and her husband have two sons, Hudson and Cohen. You may occasionally see them bopping down the halls at Southview Dentistry and saying hello. 

Outside of work, she enjoys working out. She also loves to dance and is a retired Charlotte Checkers Checkmate. If you follow the Checkers, you just may see her dancing at an occasional game or alumni event!
